I have arthritis and overall pain due to a prior injury.
What did your pain or other symptoms prevent you from doing?
All my activities and movement were contingent on my ankle pain. It made it difficult to clean my house, go to the grocery store, go to the gym, take walks and go on vacations.
Why did you choose Dr. Cuttica and Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Center?
I thought it was important to find a doctor that specializes in foot and ankle care. I researched Dr. Cuttica’s background and grown to trust him after 7+ years of being under his care.
What procedure/treatment did you have done?
I had an ankle fusion.
How did you feel after your treatment?
The immediate surgery outcome has been great. My pain is no where near what I was expecting. I’m looking forward to getting back my quality of life and doing things that I enjoy such as being a mom, going to the gym, and just overall life in general.
Do you have any advice for other patients?
Prior to surgery, I took the time to weigh the pros and cons. Dr. Cuttica was very patient and never rushed me into making a decision about surgery. We tried every alternative possible, prior to my making the decision to finally have the surgery.
If you are considering Dr. Cuttica for an ankle fusion just know he has great bedside manner, is very thorough in explaining everything, he's kind, patient and is overall a wonderful doctor!
