Dr. Tiomara Paylor is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. She is an experienced foot and ankle specialist. She has been in private practice for over 15 years providing top-quality care for patients in Virginia. Dr. Paylor specializes in the management of all foot and ankle conditions including heel pain, ankle sprains, flat feet, gout, wound care, ingrown toenails, toenail fungus, bunions, hammertoes, foot and ankle fractures and diabetic foot care. In addition, she offers individually designed custom molded orthotics to help improve foot function. Dr. Paylor recognizes the significance of delivering compassionate, thorough patient care and firmly believes in exploring all non-surgical options before considering surgical intervention.
Dr. Paylor is originally from New York City. She completed her undergraduate education at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, FL receiving her Bachelor of Science in Biology. She obtained her medical degree at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, FL. She completed her podiatric surgical residency training at Virtua West Hospital System in New Jersey where she served as chief resident in her final year. During her residency, Dr. Paylor had extensive training in all aspects of podiatric medicine including wound care, sports medicine and foot/ankle trauma.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Paylor finds joy in activities such as kickboxing, traveling and being an active member of the health ministry at her church where she enjoys providing foot screenings, educating the community on management and prevention of foot and ankle conditions.
