Jennifer is a board certified athletic trainer. She grew up in Lynchburg, VA, and was a student athletic trainer her senior year of high school where she fell in love with the profession. She started her sports medicine journey at High Point University in North Carolina and transferred to Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia, to finish her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. She furthered her education at Shenandoah University and received her Master’s degree in Athletic Training in 2008. During her graduate training, she did clinical rotations with high schools and physical therapy clinics in Chantilly, Winchester, and Charlottesville, and did a rotation with Shenandoah football and Men’s basketball as well. After getting her Master’s degree, Jennifer started her career as an Athletic Trainer at Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart in Bethesda, Maryland, for a short time before taking on a clinical outreach position (physical therapy clinic and a high school) with Bon Secours in Portsmouth, Virginia. After Portsmouth, she landed in Warrenton, Virginia, at the Highland School where she helped to implement a higher standard of care and a concussion protocol. Wanting a change from the sports side, she came on board at The Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Center in 2015 as an orthotics and bracing specialist.
