Durable Medical Equipment
What is Durable Medical Equipment (DME)?
Durable Medical Equipment (DME) is any equipment that provides therapeutic benefits to a patient in need because of certain medical conditions and/or illnesses. DME includes, but is not limited to, crutches, walkers, canes, braces and splints.
During your treatment, your provider may prescribe DME. As a convenience to our patients, our locations offer full on-site DME services to manage your orthopaedic and pain needs. All the items that we carry are hand selected by our providers and we are constantly researching new and innovated devices to manage our patients care. Additionally, we have certified athletic trainers and medical assistants to ensure that you are properly fit and educated on all of the products that your provider has prescribed.
As a courtesy to our patients, we can bill most insurance carriers for equipment received. Coverage can vary greatly among insurance plans. We can provide additional information prior to receiving any DME items to assist in determining what your financial responsibility may be.
