Matthew graduated from Quinnipiac University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Science Studies. He completed his Master of Physical Therapy program from Quinnipiac University in 2000. He has worked throughout the Metro/D.C. area upon completion of his graduate degree as a physical therapist in various orthopedic settings. Throughout his career he has worked with a variety of diagnoses ranging from total joint replacements to tendon repairs. He has treated a diverse group of patients that include children up through geriatric patients, as well as professional athletes.
In 2004, Matthew was certified as a GolFitness Specialist through GoLo Golf, Inc. He enjoys working with golfers who are recovering from injury and will be returning to the sport. As a Certified GolFitness Specialist, Matthew assesses an athlete’s deficiency in their golf swing and is able to determine if these faults are due to lack of body strength or flexibility.
Matthew’s other interest outside of physical therapy includes coaching high school volleyball for James Madison High School in Vienna, Virginia. He has been a member of the coaching staff since 2004 and has been the head coach of the junior varsity team since that time.
As a therapist for Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Center, Matthew devises individualized rehabilitation programs to meet each patient’s specific needs. His primary goal is to return all patients back to full functional activities after injury or surgery.
